James Ngigi club professional James Ngigi offers golf tuition services at Limuru Country Club in Kenya
I turned professional in 1988, and have been the Club's resident pro for over a decade. I set the original Limuru course record in 1996 shooting 63 gross. I have introduced and coached many of the Club's golfing members and have also coached in Finland. I believe that the key to improving your handicap is consistency in your swing, and spending at least as much time on your short game as on the driving range. Chipping and putting is what improves the better golfers and what provides high handicappers with as much as ten shot improvements. I help my golf pupils develop the basics of a comfortable strong grip and compact swing. I provide my students with the basics to get started on developing their own feel for and in confidence in their short game, and then insist on practice to make perfect. Only you can develop your own real feel for the game. For your lessons, please call me on 0733-720119.

Peter Mwangi resident pro Peter Mwangi provides golf lessons for beginners and experienced golfers at Limuru Country Club in Kenya
I began my golf career as a caddy at the club (starting in 1988) playing  golf only on Monday caddy golf mornings. With the kind support of a sponsor, I became a club full-member with a four handicap in 1993. Shortly afterwards, I became the first club golfer to have a minus handicap (-1) and then, turned professional in 1996. I set the new course record of 60 gross on 11 December 2003 which moved my handicap to plus five. I participate in all major pro golfing competitions including the Kenya Open. I also coach the club's junior golfers.
Golf is a wonderful and healthy sport that can be played and enjoyed by anybody. Consistency requires commitment, concentration and a good temperament. I help my pupils to develop these qualities in addition to the broad range of technical skills needed to achieve lower handicaps. I am also a firm believer that different coaches suit different players. As such, you may feel more comfortable working with James or perhaps try working with Charles Farrar at Muthaiga or John Limb at Karen. If you would like to work with me, then I look forward to coaching you and your game. To chat about your improvement or beginner needs, and arrange a lesson, please call me on 0733-948489.
